The first period of Clementina's creation was initiated in 1966 during her internship at the Institut d'Art et Métiers, in Paris. The pieces were handcrafted, creating empty spaces and bosses. These empty spaces allowed the color of the clothes of those using the jewelry to appear through, greatly enhancing the attire.

This style has attracted the attention of many fashion designers. Her jewels were displayed for the first time at the Steph Simon Gallery, in Paris. In this gallery of innovative design, Charlotte Perriand and Le Corbusier presented their work. In the year of 1967, she was invited by Pierre Cardin to present a special collection in the Summer/Spring fashion show, integrating her modern jewelry with the fashion of the famous designer. In 1971, at the 11th Bienal de São Paulo, she received the award for "Best Jewelry Design", and she also exhibited at the Galeria de Arte de Ipanema (Gallery of Art of Ipanema), in Rio de Janeiro. Later, she showed her creations, representing the Brazilian design, in the Course of Design in Export Promotion in Helsinki, Finland, and in the Centro Domus, Milan.
