Since a little girl, in Recife, Clementina adored drawing pictures of princesses and she imagined that all women were delicate, beautiful creatures who inhabited a world of castles, emeralds, pearls and lace. At the beginning of the 60's, she studied in the College of Architecture of Recife, where she had the privilege to coexist with architects and professors with broad training in history of art, philosophy, and aesthetics.

In 1964, she started a Master's Degree and began teaching History of Architecture at the University of Brasília, whose director was Oscar Niemeyer, one of the admirers of Clementina's work. In 1966, she went to France to take a graduation course in architecture and design at the Institute des Art et Métiers and in the Sorbonne, initiating her career as a jewelry designer in Paris.
